News: See the first two big games of 2010 in action.

2010 has started with a bang as two highly anticipated hack and slash games, Bayonetta and Darksiders, launched for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this week. If slicing and dicing the supernatural is your cup of tea, then you might want to give the launch trailers for both of these games a look.

Bayonetta was developed by Platinum Games, the team that was also behind the demented (but entertaining) MadWorld. The game stars the titular Bayonetta, a witch who is at war with heaven who uses her hair (and a quartet of guns known as Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme) as she attempts to regain her memory...

Darksiders is also about a battle against heaven, but instead of a witch, it stars War the second Horseman of the Apocalypse. It seems the apocalypse came early and War has been dispatched to find out exactly why that happened and in the process he has to hack and slash a lot of enemies with a really big sword...
