News: And an exclusive first look in next month's Nintendo Power.

EA Sports has launched the official website to the Wii-exclusive NBA Jam at nba-jam.EASports.com. The site is currently a tad bare bones, but the game's new logo can be seen to the right and I think it's... if you'll pardon the expression... on fire.

Electronic Arts is also giving gamers the chance to vote on which players from each team will appear in the game. Currently, the polls are open until midnight on Sunday, January 17 for fans to vote for players from the Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Clippers and the Oklahoma City Thunder. At three teams a week, voting will end in mid-March, so I think it's a safe bet the game won't be released before then.

Perhaps that information will be revealed in the February 2009 issue of Nintendo Power, which will feature NBA Jam on the cover. Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic will grace the cover in a classic NBA Jam pose with a flaming ball and an extra large head:

The February issue of Nintendo Power will be available on newsstands on January 19. We'll have more soon.
