News: And the game isn't even out yet!
BioShock 2 is currently on track for a February 9 release on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and it looks like developer 2K Marin is already developing downloadable content for the game.
In an interview with AustralianGamer, Senior Systems Designer Kent Hudson confirmed the existance of the DLC and that 2K Marin is going to be "aggressive" about its development:
Absolutely! We are working on pretty aggressive plans for DLC and that's actually something that is already under-way. That is something that is mostly being run out of the Marin studio because like I said the Australian studio is already ramping up on the next big thing.
It is likely that this downloadable expansion to the game will take the form of single-player levels, as 2K Marin created the game's main campaign and contracted Digital Extremes to create the multiplayer portion of the game. But that is just speculation as publisher 2K Games has not officially announced the DLC yet.
We'll have more soon.
