News: Along with his involvement in "a couple of other big premieres that are still unannounced."
Nolan North is the busiest voice actor in the entire game industry. Just in the last year he's had speaking roles in at least 19 games including Assassin's Creed II, Dragon Age: Origins, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, Halo 3: ODST, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, Shadow Complex, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Infamous, Terminator Salvation, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, MadWorld and Halo Wars.
But his biggest (and most recognizable) role of 2009 was as Nathan Drake in
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Nolan and Nathan have become inseperable over the years not just becuase of North's strong voice acting performance, but also due to his motion capture work on the game. He literally
is Nathan Drake (gives him quite the leg up when it comes time to cast the eventual movie).
So it should come as no surprise that he'll voicing Nathan Drake again in a currently unannounced Uncharted sequel.
North dropped the (unsurprising) bombshell during an interview with
GamePro along with the news he'll be lending his voice to a new Assassin's Creed game (recently announced by Ubisoft) and "a couple of other big premieres that are still unannounced" in 2010.
No other details about the games were revealed, but it's interesting that a new Uncharted game is coming so soon after Uncharted 2. Might Nathan Drake's next adventure be PSP-bound?
We'll have more soon.
