News: And by that I mean, they've canceled it.

Codemasters informed IGN today that Heist, their interactive take on a 60s heist film, has been canceled.

In development at inXile Entertainment (the team behind the latest rendition of The Bard's Tale), the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 game was originally scheduled to be released in 2007. But multiple delays pushed it back to a TBA 2009 release date.

As we're now living in the crazy, far-flung future of 2010, Codemasters admitted that Heist was never going to get a chance to steal our hearts by officially canceling it.

"After a much extended development period, Heist has been terminated as a project and removed from our release schedule," a company spokesperson told IGN.
