News: And Gearbox has announced the third expansion, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx.
GameStop has posted a listing for a game that collects both of the DLC expansions to Borderlands in one package. Titled Borderlands: Double Game Add-On Pack, it will be released for the PC and Xbox 360 on February 23. While the DLC expansions have also been released on the PlayStation 3, GameStop doesn't have a listing for a PS3 version of the add-on disc. The add-on disc will retail for $19.99, which is the same price as purchasing The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned and Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot through Xbox Live or online.
While the GameStop listing doesn't specifically say it, if 2K and developer Gearbox are referring to the disc as an "add-on", it likely requires the original version of Borderlands to work.
Not included on the add-on disc is the recently announced third expansion to Borderlands, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx. Coming to the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, Gearbox has promised the expansion will include never-before-seen enemies, new weapons and that it will be the biggest expansion to the game yet. It will also raise the game's level cap past 50. No release date or price for the third DLC expansion was announced.
We'll have more soon.
