News: An advanced warfighter? Old and busted. A futuristic soldier? The new hotness.
After teasing the existance of Ghost Recon 4 for a while now, Ubisoft has officially announced Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will be coming to an Xbox 360 near you this Fall. But if you're a PC or PlayStation 3 player, don't despair, Ubisoft confirmed via Twitter the game is coming to those platforms as well. Although the PC version may not make it out in 2010.
Developed by Ubisoft Paris, the next Ghost Recon game is still being kept pretty tightly under wraps with just a few hints as to what it'll include:
[T]he game will feature cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will go beyond the core Ghost Recon franchise and deliver a fresh gameplay experience, with an unparalleled level of quality that will excite long-time fans and newcomers alike.
Xbox 360 owners will get their first chance to try the game out for themselves this Summer when Ubisoft plans to run a multiplayer beta of the game. How do you get invited to join this beta? By purchasing the Xbox 360 version of Ubisoft's
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction when it's released on April 13.
In the mean time, the world premiere teaser trailer for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will be available to download on the Xbox Live Marketplace later today.
We'll have more soon.
