News: BOY, makes you WONDER who would BAT an eyelash at the original title, MAN.
NIS America has announced that due to a "conflict of interest with an existing IP", the title of their upcoming PSP strategy sequel Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman! 2: Time To Tighten Up Security! will be undergoing a name change.
The game will now be known as What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? 2 and its release date has been pushed back to May 4 to provide NIS with ample time to complete the change to the new name.
This change will also retroactively affect the first game in the series,
Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do To Deserve This?, which will be retitled
What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!?. The game will be pulled from the PlayStation Store while NIS performs the necessary programming tweaks to excise the Badman name from the game. A UMD version of the game was never issued, but if it had, it would have likely become a huge collector's item.
According to NIS, the new title is intended to "better represent the game's whacky retro dungeon world and connect the player's awareness with the overall theme of the game." But more likely, the people at DC Comics got a little miffed over the title's play on words of Robin's iconic catchphrase from the 1960s
Batman TV show.
NIS did not give an exact date as to when What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? would return to the PlayStation Store.
We'll have more soon.
