Apogee Software and Mobila Interactive recently released the classic first person shooter Rise of the Triad on the App Store.
The two companies revealed today that they are hard at work on bringing Extreme Rise of the Triad, the original expansion pack for the PC version, to the iPhone/iPod Touch as well.
Best of all, the expansion will not be offered as a pricey additional purchase. Instead, it will be available as a free update to the currently available $4.99 game.
Extreme Rise of the Triad has over 40 additional maps with some of the most brain-bending puzzles and devious traps offered in the Triad series.

Apogee and Mobila didn't reveal when Extreme Rise of the Triad would be made available on the App Store, but they did release this awesome new trailer that is, you guessed it, full of ludicrous gibs:
