Konami has announced they've obtained the American (and European) publishing rights to the sequel to Microsoft's Xbox 360 action title Ninety-Nine Nights. The game will be known as N3II: Ninety-Nine Nights (before you ask, no, that title's not a joke) and it'll be developed by FeelPlus, taking over from Phantagram, the developer's of the first game.
Ninety-Nine Nights II will pick up right where the original left off, with large action setpieces and huge battles between five different factions (including humans, elves and goblins):
At its heart, N3II:Ninety-Nine Nights is a vast combat title, with hundreds of enemy creatures on screen simultaneously. As the camera picks over the action, the player can use a wealth of easily-effected combo attacks to carve a path through the enemy, and also use whatever weapons and items come to hand. At the end of each skirmish, players will then face a 'Titanic Boss Battle' against the champion of their current adversary, with players forced to move quickly and locate the well hidden weak spots of these seemingly unstoppable behemoths.
In addition to the multi-perspective story mode, N3II will also include a two-player online cooperative mode.
