News: From little green stick figures to green circles with grenades.

After completing work on Darwinia+, Introversion has revealed the first details on their next project, Subversion. Calling it the "spiritual sequel" to their first game, Uplink, Subversion puts players in the shoes of a world class den of thieves, as they attempt to pull of the perfect heist.
Introversion's Chris Delay describes Subversion like this:
Subversion is going to be set in a modern High Tech environment, with you taking "mission control" over a team of skilled operatives in a hostile High Security building. You will be using Sabotage, Social Engineering and Grifting, custom Electrical and Mechanical devices, Distractions, Hacking, Stealth, Acrobatics, Precision demolitions, Trickery, whatever gets the job done. In the best case scenarios your enemies will never know you were even there. When things go wrong, a well prepared escape plan and well timed precision violence will get you out of a tight spot - or maybe not.
Delay went on and explained the team at Introversion has found inspiration in high tech heist movies like Ocean's 11, Entrapment, Sneakers and the TV series "Mission: Impossible". Visually, the game will take its cues from the wireframe "3D blueprints" looks that often appears in heist films.
Introversion wasn't ready to discuss a release date, going so far as to admit the game is still in the testing stages and not yet in full production. But they have posted a few screenshots that show off the procedurally generated "High Security buildings" at their official forums.
We'll have more soon.
