News: "Action racing" from Disney Interactive has a release date.

Nintendo wasn't the only company announcing release dates today as Disney Interactive announced when gamers will be able to get their hands on Split/Second.

The "action racer" will be coming to the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 18 (with a European release date, where it'll be released as Split/Second: Velocity, of May 21). Developed by Black Rock Studio (the team behind the critical favorite Pure), Split/Second inside the world of a fictional reality TV show as players "don't just try to race to the finish line - they trigger explosive events that alter the track to take out opponents or create short cuts."

We'll have more soon.
