Portal was a fun little throw-in when
Half-Life: The Orange Box was released in 2007. Little did developer/publisher Valve realize that it would take the gaming world by storm.
Now,
Game Informer has announced that the cover to their April 2010 will feature none other than
Portal 2. More than just a simple throw-in, Portal 2 is a full-fledged sequel with "new gameplay mechanics, [a new] storyline, and some surprising new twists."
Valve has gone one further and announced that Portal 2 will be released this holiday season. Which platforms the game would appear on weren't revealed but PC and Xbox 360 versions are almost guaranteed with a PlayStation 3 release likely.
