News: At least, that's what Yoichi Wada says.
On the eve of Final Fantasy XIII's launch in America, Siliconera sat down for an interview with Yoichi Wada, the President and CEO of Square Enix.
During the course of the interview they discussed the development process of Final Fantasy XIII, recent Square Enix releases in Japan and whether or not the company has any plans to release a remake of Final Fantasy VII.
They still won't let it go.
But it appears that persistence pays off as Wada actually admitted the company is officially thinking about a Final Fantasy VII remake at the executive and developmental level...
Right now we don't have a clear direction, but many fans have requested we remake Final Fantasy VII. We're going to explore the possibility Ц whether or not we're going to do it, if we're going to do it, and the platform.
Could it be true? Has Square Enix finally come to their senses and realized that remaking FF7 will net them a airshipload of cash?
Hopefully, we'll have more on this long festering rumor soon.
