News: Milla Jovovich is back as Alice with Wentworth Miller on board as Chris Redfield.

Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for the fourth Resident Evil movie, Resident Evil: Afterlife. Even though the last movie in the series, 2007's Resident Evil: Extinction, was billed as the final movie in the trilogy, it left the door wide open for a sequel and here it is.

Milla Jovovich will return to play Alice (and her many clones) once more along with Ali Larter as Claire Redfield. For the first time in the film series, Afterlife will pit Alice and company directly against Umbrella's main bad guy, Albert Wesker (this time played by Shawn Roberts). To help them in their fight, Chris Redfield (played by Prison Break's Wentworth Miller) will challenge his video game nemesis on the big screen.

In addition to new characters, Afterlife will bring in elements of Resident Evil 5 to the movie sequel including the Majini and the axe-wielding Majini Executioner. Best of all, all of this carnage will take place in 3D, using the same 3D process James Cameron used for Avatar.

Resident Evil: Afterlife will be released in theaters on September 10. The first trailer will be shown in front of the Nightmare on Elm Street reboot when its released on April 30. If you can't wait, you can check it out right here:
