News: And the bands providing the game's headbanging soundtrack have also been unearthed.

GameTrailers TV has unleashed another world premiere trailer onto the world and its for Namco Bandai's long-in-development reboot of Splatterhouse. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game was in the works at BottleRocket Entertainment before Namco Bandai took the game away and gave it to their in-house development team (who were also responsible for last year's Afro Samurai). This developer switch caused a nearly year long delay (the game is currently on track for a Fall 2010 release) and marked the end of BottleRocket.

But in the meantime, Namco Bandai has launched a new website for the game at SplatterhouseGame.com complete with the band list for the game's new metal soundtrack. You'll be banging your head to these bands as you rip demons limb from limb this Fall:

  • The Accused
  • ASG
  • Cavalera Conspiracy
  • Death Punch
  • Goatwhore
  • The Haunted
  • High on Fire
  • Lamb of God
  • Mastodon
  • Municipal Waste
  • Mutant Supremacy
  • Terrorizer

And here's that new trailer. Enjoy:
