News: Was there ever a doubt?
While Activision has yet to make any public statements about which platforms Call of Duty: Black Ops will appear on, the publisher has told Eurogamer the game will be released for the PC, PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360.
"Black Ops will be available on all four platforms, PS3, X360, PC and Wii, on 9th November," an Activision spokesman said.
Releasing the game on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 was expected, but Treyarch's history of Wii development makes that announcement not much of a surprise either. Treyarch's previous forays into the Call of Duty series, Call of Duty 3 and CoD: World at War, were also released on the Wii. The developer also brought Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare to the Wii last year.
This news comes on the heels of a preview in USA Today that confirms the game will include a four-player co-op mode.
We'll have more soon.
