News: Say it ain't so Cock-Knocker!

Mark Hamill recently talked to IGN about his portrayal of The Joker in Batman: Arkham Asylum and its upcoming sequel. During the course of the interview, he revealed that this would be the last time he'll don the (metaphorical) purple suit of The Clown Prince of Crime.

"This will be my last, there's no question about that. But it's the last hurrah," Hamill said.

This will be Hamill's last go-round as The Joker, but it almost wasn't, as he didn't think Rocksteady could top the first game. He explains, "My answer to [developers Rocksteady] for the sequel was, 'Guys, we're never going to be able to top the original.'"

He would go on to reveal that he wasn't too keen about signing on to play The Joker in the first game, but was convinced after Paul Dini and Kevin Conroy came aboard on to make it a Batman: The Animated Series reunion.

Be sure to check out the rest of the interview with Hamill at IGN and stay tuned to Gaming Target for more on Batman: Arkham Asylum, which will most assuredly make an appearance at this year's E3.
