PlayStation Store Update 06/01/10 @ Gaming Target

News: It's a pleasant surprise to remember Tuesday is the new Thursday on the PSN.

Sony had quite a few price drops on the PSN this week. There were 10 permanent price drops Ц 5 to $9.99 (Ape Escape: On the Loose, Hot Shots Golf Open Tee, SOCOM: Fire Team Bravo, Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow, and Twisted Metal: Head On) and 4 to $19.99 (LittleBigPlanet PSP, Resistance: Retribution, Secret Agent Clank, and Gran Turismo PSP). The last one, Soldner-X: Himmelssturmer, was to $7.99, and was most likely to draw attention to the recent release of the sequel. Righteous! Three minis also went on sale Ц Mahjongg Artifacts, Stand O' Food, and Obscure: the Aftermath.

As far as downloadable games go, there's Tecmo Bowl Throwback; Planet Mini-Golf; the PSone Classic, N2O Nitrous Oxide; and the demo for Planet Mini-Golf. There's a lot of new add-on game content as well Ц Dead to Rights: Retribution GAC pack, Lost Planet 2 Map Pack #2, several items for Record of Agarest War, Stone Temple Pilots songs for Guitar Hero 5, Spoon songs for Rock Band, and several songs for the Rock Band Network, including УThe Most Beautiful Girl (In the Room)Ф by Flight of the Conchords.

There's just one new bundle available: you can get both Soldner X games Ц Himmelssturmer and Final Prototype Ц for $17.99. There are also new avatars available for both Super Street Fighter IV and Soldner-X 2. In the game videos section, there's a new Pulse, as well as trailers for Call of Duty: Black Ops, Medal of Honor, Death Track: Resurrection, Red Dead Redemption, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, and LittleBigPlanet 2. There's also two new Spotlights from ModNation Racers Ц Huck Gee and Kevin Butler, the latter of which is a must-see for Sony fans.

There are 8 new PS3 themes available Ц 3 launch themes for ModNation Racers, as well as Voodoo Crucifixion, Flower Fantasy, Futbol Premium, Say Cheesecake, and a dynamic theme for UFC. One new wallpaper is available as well, for Soldner-X 2.

On the PSP side, there's one new mini, Telegraph Crosswords. There are three game videos Ц the two ModNation Racers spotlight videos as well as Pulse. The three ModNation Racers themes are also available for the PSP, as are Voodoo Crucifixion and Flower Fantasy. Exclusive to the PSP are the Armored Core Last Raven custom theme, two Futbol themes, and two Vampire themes.
