News: Or rather, covered, in their August issue.
After months of teasing (and a recent mention in a press release in a list of future BioWare projects), Electronic Arts has given Game Informer the official scoop on Dragon Age 2. The RPG sequel will grace the cover of the magazine's August issue (#208), which should be arriving in mailboxes across the country very soon.
Dragon Age 2 will star a new hero (the bearded barbarian you see above) and take gamers to a new corner of the game's world. It will also include "a ton of surprising improvements that will shed even more light on the lore of the Dragon Age universe."
Officially, which platforms Dragon Age 2 will be released on haven't been announced yet. But with the first game appearing (very successfully) on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, a repeat of that release schedule is likely. EA has previously hinted that Dragon Age 2 will be released on February 1, hopefully we'll find out for sure in the next issue of Game Informer.
We'll have more soon.
