News: With a Harada and Ono showdown!

Capcom revealed Street Fighter X Tekken at Comic-Con last month with Namco Bandai's Tekken X Street Fighter nowhere to be seen. Today, Namco Bandai has announced that their half of the intercompany crossover (done in the 3D style of the Tekken series) will make its first public appearance at Germany's GamesCom convention.

Not only will GamesCom be the home of Tekken X Street Fighter's world premiere, but it will also be playable by the public in a special tournament between Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada and Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono. Each man will be flanked by six community members from each company's PR team along with eight competitors from the audience. And the stakes appear to be pretty high.

Capcom's Ono has threatened to pull a Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake on Harada: "I'll [...] take with me the shaving oil I received from Hakan and the shaving razor from Vega so that I can erase that overgrown beard of Harada's, exposing that baby face to go with his childish actions. It should turn out to be a great party!"

Harada didn't threaten bodily harm on Ono, but this entire "feud" began because he "crashed" the Street Fighter X Tekken presentation at Comic-Con.

I guess, as the kids say, it's on like Donkey Kong.
