News: Who are you, out here in the field? Yeaaaaaah!
Prepare to perform more autopsies by the glow of neon lighting as Ubisoft has announced two new games based on CSI.
The first, CSI: Fatal Conspiracy, will bring the investigative series to the PlayStation 3 for the first time. The game, which is being developerd by Telltale Games, will also be released on the PC, Wii and Xbox 360. The second, in development at Other Ocean, is a DS-exclusive entry known as CSI: Unsolved! Both games will be available this October.
CSI: Fatal Conspiracy features five new connected cases written by the same writers from the television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Players will experience an authentic crime-solving video game with real CSI characters, heart-pounding interrogations and enhanced graphics. A unique story structure that unveils the truth piece by piece brings a new level of suspense and intrigue to the top-selling franchise.
Fatal Conspiracy is set within the storyline of the tenth season of CSI. Players will be able to partner up with Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne), Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) and Nick Stokes (George Eads) as they attempt to solve the case. For the first time, players will be able to wield ultrasound and high-tech SLR camera technology during an investigation.
Meanwhile, CSI: Unsolved! brings the franchise back to the DS with all your favorite crime scene investigation techniques: dusting for fingerprints, toxicology screens, bullet comparison, X-Ray scanner, spectrum light analysis and, if you have a DSi, crime scene photography.
Specifically designed with Nintendo DS users in mind, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Unsolved! makes the most of the Nintendo DS Touch Screen for an improved pick-up-and-play experience. Players get to join forces with their favorite CSI characters from the hit CBS show and solve five original murder mysteries, such as the death of a young pop star on stage or the discovery of a mummified body in the desert.
We'll have more soon.
