News: It's a Nintendo Christmas!
Nintendo has served up a ton of new release dates for all of their major releases for the rest of the year.
A lot of games that resonate with retro-minded Wii owners everywhere were announced at this year's E3 expo. Previously scheduled for a Fall release, Nintendo has now given official dates to Kirby's Epic Yarn (October 17), Donkey Kong Country Returns (November 21) and many other first and third party titles:
Metroid: Other M - August 31
New Carnival Games - September 21
Samurai Warriors 3 - September 27
Wii Party - October 3
NBA Jam - October 5
Just Dance 2 - October 12
Kirby's Epic Yarn - October 17
PokePark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure - November 1
FlingSmash - November 7
Sonic Colors - November 16
Donkey Kong Country Returns - November 21
GoldenEye 007 - November TBA
Epic Mickey - Holiday
The Wii's downloadable games service, WiiWare, will receive a trio of highly anticipated titles in the near future as well. And Yet It Moves will be available this upcoming Monday, August 23. Further out, Gaijin Games will continue the Bit.Trip series this Fall with Bit.Trip Fate and Super Meat Boy will be served up this Holiday season.
While Nintendo is ramping up the hype machine for next year's 3DS, their current handheld still has plenty of life in it. A new Professor Layton game, the next entry in the Pokemon Ranger series and several other big name games were given release dates today:
Professor Layton and the Unwound Future - September 12
Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs - October 4
Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light - October 5
Art Academy - October 25
Rock Band 3 - October 29
Super Scribblenauts - October TBA
Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! - November 14
A few major releases are also planned for release on the DSiWare service this Fall including Need For Speed Nitro-X on September 20 and Shantae: Risky's Revenge this Holiday season.
