News: Squad-based shooting comes to both consoles.
Ubisoft announced two new Ghost Recon titles recently. The series will be coming to the Wii and the PSP this November in two different games.
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Predator is the PSP title, and it takes place in the jungles of Sri Lanka. It looks like not much has been lost in the translation to PSP. You will have all kinds of fancy advanced weaponry at your disposal to fight the insurgents. The game will be a tactical team based combat game, much like it's older brother on the current gen consoles.
It will allow for three player local cooperative play. No online yet, but that could certainly change before the release.
Ghost Recon for the Wii is just being referred to as Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon right now. It doesn't get the benefit of a cool sounding subtitle like Preadator.
Same deal as before: tactical team based combat and fancy future weapons.
The Wii version takes place in Moscow though, and the story limits your team to two soldiers, as they struggle to meet back up with the team they have been seperated from. It will have the option of drop-in, drop-out split screen co-op play. An AI will take over the non-player character when you can't convince anyone to play with you.
No online play, but there will be leaderboards tracking high scores.
