Keiji Inafune, creator of Mega Man, introduces the below video, sympathizing with viewers who were confused by the Mega Man Universe announcement trailer.
This new trailer shows off some gameplay, and let's us know that Mega Man Universe will be a side scrolling platformer in the traditional Mega Man style. There is also a quick hint at the end of the video offering the possibility of playable Capcom characters who are not part of the Mega Man universe.

Mega Man Universe doesn't currently have a release date, but it'll be available to download on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade sometime in the near future.
