Brian Wood, Senior Designer of Relic Entertainment's award-winning game Company of Heroes, was killed in a head-on collision on September 3.
The 33-year old North Vancouver, BC resident was driving along Highway 20 on Whidbey Island in Washington State when an SUV crossed the center line and struck his vehicle. Wood's wife Erin, who is six months pregnant, was in the passenger seat and survived the crash. She and the baby are expected to fully recover from their injuries.
Two passengers riding in the back seat of the SUV were also killed.
Allegedly, the front passenger of the SUV was steering the vehicle while the driver was removing her sweater. Both the driver and passenger are recovering from their injuries and according to police, could face vehicular homicide charges.
