News: Another game gets pushed out of 2010.
Originally scheduled for a November 16 release,
Media Molecule has announced that
LittleBigPlanet 2 is the latest Fall 2010 title to fall victim to a delay. Sackboy's next game-changing adventure will now be released sometime in January 2011.
According to the developer, the LittleBigPlanet 2's ambitious game creation tools proved too much for the team (which is apparently made up of "powered-up space ninjas") to finish by November. The extended development cycle will be used to perfect the game and ensure "the best experience imaginable" for LittleBigPlanet players.
There is an upside to this however, Media Molecule also said "we are going to find a way to give more of you a taste of LBP2 prior to launch," which likely means that more beta invites are forthcoming.
