Explodemon

Written by Kyle Hilliard  on September 24, 2010

News: Watch the first trailer for 'Splosion Man Explodemon here.

Explodemon looks pretty familiar. We won't pretend that it does not look strikingly similar to Twisted Pixel's marvelous 'Splosion Man from 2009. The games were actually announced around the same time, but 'Splosion Man was able to make it out of the gate far in advance. The trailer also shows off a little gray cube that looks familiar too -- but we need to get past all the similarities, and references.

Other than the main draw of playing as a character who has the ability to explode, the game does look different enough from 'Splosion Man to offer its own experience.

Explodemon looks to offers a more diverse set of puzzles, as well as some character leveling abilities. The game will be available this Christmas, and will be exclusive to the PlayStation 3. That's something else that sets the two similar games apart, as 'Splosion Man was only for the Xbox 360.
