News: The end (of the game's development) is nigh!
After months of testing and teasing, Blizzard is ready to reveal that the third exanpsion to World of Warcraft, Cataclysm, will be released on December 7.
The game will be sold in several different packages including a $39.99 standard edition (available in stores and as a digital download) and a $79.99 Collector's Edition. The Collector's Edition will include a behind-the-scenes DVD, a soundtrack CD, an art book, a starter set with exclusive cards for the WoW Trading Card Game and a Cataclysm mousepad.
"Cataclysm includes the best content we've ever created for World of Warcraft. It's not just an expansion, but a re-creation of much of the original Azeroth, complete with epic new high-level adventures for current players and a redesigned leveling experience for those just starting out," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment. "With the help of our beta testers, we're putting on the final polish, and we look forward to welcoming gamers around the world to enjoy it in just a couple of months."
We'll have more soon.
