NBA Jam elects to include Obama, Palin, Bush, more @ Gaming Target

News: Unlockable characters also include both Clintons, Gore, Cheney, McCain and Biden.

The NBA Jam team at EA Sports knows the history of the franchise inside and out. That much is apparent just from listening to the development details that have leaked out over the last six months. But now that the game is available in stores, the team has begun to divulge what fans have really been waiting for: who the hidden characters are.

ESPN's video game blog, The Gamer, has learned that Bill and Hillary Clinton and Al Gore will be making return apperances in the Wii reboot (all three were unlockable in the original game). They will be part of a team of Democrats that also includes Vice President Joe Biden and President O'Bomber himself, Barack Obama. As his high school nickname indicates, I'm sure he'll be a monster three-point shooter.

They will be challenged by a Republican team headlined by Sarah Palin, John McCain, former President George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.

In addition to the politicians, EA is including a Beastie Boys team along with another "super secret musician" that Creative Director Trey Smith wasn't allowed to talk about.

Odds are, there are even more hidden characters just waiting to be discovered. The secret codes to unlock the characters he did talk about are also being kept under heavy guard.
