News: No wonder it was delayed.
If the Gears of War 3 delay was puzzling to you, puzzle no longer, as Epic has revealed a few details about the game that will surely require more development time.
First, the development team has promised the game will include dedicated servers to provide a better multiplayer experience for all. Full details on the game's multiplayer modes (along with a discussion on just what dedicated servers mean for GoW3) can be found in the upcoming issue of Official Xbox Magazine. Subscribers should receive it in their mailboxes very soon.
Epic has also announced that players will get a chance to test drive the multiplayer portion of Gears of War 3 during a beta they plan to launch sometime soon. The developer wasn't ready to reveal what gametypes would be available or even when the beta would take place, but they promise that an announcement will be made "in due time."
We'll have more soon.
