News: Double Fine's first downloadable game is coming next week.

Double Fine's charming downloadable title, Costume Quest finally has a date other than, "sometime around Halloween." The game will be available October 20th on both the Xbox Live arcade and the Playstation Network.

Costume Quest is the first game from Double Fine studios not being directed by Tim Schafer. Schafer directed both Psychonauts and Brutal Legend, but Costume Quest comes from the mind of Tasha Harris. Harris is a Pixar alumni, and was lead animator on previous Double Fine games.

Costume Quest is a classic turn-based RPG centered around a Halloween night where things go awry. It looks hilarious, cute, old-school, and so charming, that is worth using the adjective twice in the same article.

PS3 owners will be able to download it for $15 while Xbox 360 owners will be charged 1200 Microsoft Points (which is also $15).
