News: Nathan Fillion is ready to don the coat of another Big Damn Hero.
A few days after The Hollywood Reporter revealed that director David O. Russell (Three Kings) will write and direct an adaptation of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, the inevitable Twitter campaigns for the lead role have begun.
Leading the charge is Castle's Nathan Fillion. The former Serenity skipper has called out to his fans to hound Russell and Columbia Pictures into giving him the role. How can you not love a call to action like this:
If ever there was a Twitter campaign, let this be it. Rise, ye Browncoats. Rise, ye Castillions. RISE!
The message has already been retweeted at least several hundred times.
As you can see, I've done my part by adding Fillion's head to Nathan Drake's body. Not a bad fit if I do say so myself.
The actor may have a very full acting slate very soon. In addition to his commitment to Castle, a fan campaign has arisen to christen Fillion the frontrunner to don Superman's cape and costume in Zach Snyder's Superman reboot. While it's always good time to be Nathan Fillion, today seems like a really good day to be Nathan Fillion.
We'll have more on the Uncharted movie adaptation soon.
