News: Find out Scorpion's story in this new trailer... as if you didn't already know it.



So that kountdown on Mortal Kombat's official site turned out to be a bust. Instead of a cool new announcement, it turned out to be a message board-based war between fans of Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Shao Khan, Mileena and Raiden. And Midway NetherRealm Studios plans to release a piece of "exclusive content" for the character that gets the most discussion.

But the developer has also unveiled a brand new trailer for the game, detailing the backstory of everyone's favorite avenging spectre, Scorpion. You can check it out right here:



Mortal Kombat will be released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the Spring.
