News: For Xbox 360 owners only though.
Square Enix and developer Crystal Dynamics have announced that the online co-op patch for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will finally be available to download from Xbox Live on Wednesday, October 27. Previously promised a month ago, the Xbox 360 patch hit a snag, which has in turn pushed the PC and PS3 patch even further out. If you own Guardian of Light on those platforms, Square Enix said the patch is "coming soon," but wouldn't get specific.
To make up for the delay, the publisher plans to release the first DLC expansion for the game, "All the Trappings", for free. It'll also be made available to download tomorrow and it's $0 price point will be in effect for the next 30 days. A regular price was not revealed. All the Trappings will feature "a combination of puzzle, exploration and combat experiences" to add to Guardian of Light's already well-received main game.
УWe're delighted the Online Co-op is ready and going live Ц as a thank you to the patient Xbox gamers, and for a limited time only we will be giving away our first DLC pack for free. Download it, have a go and while you're there try the online co-op mode, it's great fun,Ф said Darrell Gallagher, General Manager of Crystal Dynamics.
We'll have more soon.
