News: It's from the Doc!

Telltale Games has announced that their episodic continuation of Back to the Future will be released on the PC/Mac in December with PlayStation 3 and iPad versions to follow soon after.

Intrepid time travelers can pre-order the PC/Mac version now for $24.95 at BackToTheFutureGame.com and have it delivered digitally on the release date in December (just like Doc's Federal Express package from Back to the Future Part II!). New episodes, which take place in the aftermath of Back to the Future Part III, will arrive once a month after that.

In addition to knowing they'll have Telltale's next game as soon as its released, players will also receive a free download of the developer's Puzzle Agent and exclusive access to an insider forum to chat with the Telltale team creating the game throughout the process. Telltale will also donate $1 to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research for each copy purchased.

With the launch of the pre-order deal, the game's official site is fluxxing with new information, including a behind-the-scenes video showcasing Christopher Lloyd's recording session and his thoughts about returning to the role of Doc Brown.

"We're very excited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Back to the Future franchise with a completely new adventure," said Dan Connors CEO Telltale Games. "It's been an amazing experience to be part of reuniting Marty McFly and Doc Brown on their continuing quest. Back to the Future fans will have a great time helping to control the integrity of the space-time continuum."

In case you need more Back to the Future in your life, today is the 25th anniversary of the movie's theatrical debut. To celebrate, Universal has released the 25th Anniversary Trilogy boxset on DVD and Blu-ray. So go make like a tree and get out of here (preferably in your DeLorean).
