News: A futuristic shooter from the creator of Scribblenauts.

5th Cell has owned the DS landscape over the last year few years, cranking out hit after hit. But for 2011 the developer has set its sights on a new challenge: the Xbox Live Arcade.

The game will known as Hybrid and it'll be a shooter focusing on a war between two groups (the Paladins and the Variants) in the near future. Hybrid's official website, WhatIsHybrid.com, includes brief journal entries from a soldier on each side. Paladins appear to be normal humans while Variants are a race of beings that focus on "the hunt."

5th Cell has also released a short teaser trailer that takes place in a burned out bank vault that also showcases the power armor-clad Paladins and Variants:
