News: And looks to be more closely tied in to the game series.
The horror hounds at Bloody Disgusting have uncovered news about the second Silent Hill movie at this year's American Film Market.
According to the report, the movie will be directed by Michael J. Bassett and will be titled Silent Hill: Revelation. Like nearly every horror movie nowadays, it'll also be filmed and presented in 3D.
Finally, Bloody Disgusting was able to coax some plot details out of the film's producers at Lionsgate. The movie will be heavily based on Silent Hill 3 and introduce Harry and Heather Mason to the film series:
The sequel follows Heather Mason, along with her father, who have been on the run - always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't full understand, Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.
No release date was given for the film, but the next game in the series, Silent Hill 8 is on track for a 2011 release.
