News: In the US anyway.

Konami did not make any friends among PS3 owners on Thursday when they revealed that X-Men Arcade would be released on the Xbox Live Arcade next week and on the PlayStation Network in February.

Thankfully, Kotaku has clarifed the game's release scheduled with the publisher and gamers (in the US that is) can breath a sigh of relief.

In North America, Konami plans to add X-Men Arcade to the PSN on Tuesday, December 14 while the XBLA version will follow on December 15.

Sadly, the original release dates are still in place for Europe. Across the pond, PS3 owners won't be able to play the game until sometime in February while Xbox 360 owners will get to save the city on December 15.

Exclusivity deals are a cruel mistress.
