News: Free title update completely revamps the XBLA game.

Hydrophobia creators Dark Energy Digital mentioned last week that they'd have an announcement this week. Based on what they've read in nearly 250 reviews, they're launching Hydrophobia Pure tomorrow, December 21st. They've completely overhauled the game to address all the issues in both the reviews and feedback from their community.

The list of changes is lengthy - on top of an improved map and a new waypoint system, they've also made improvements to the cameras and controls, enhanced the graphics, updated the puzzles and AI, and introduced new climbing, combat, and cover systems.

This will be a free title update and will include an extended trial. And if all of those things aren't enticing enough, they'll also be dropping the price to 800 Microsoft Points ($10). We'll have more on these updates later this week, so be sure to stay tuned to Gaming Target for more information.
