News: Raikou, Entei, Suicune and Zoroark over the next month.
Some people have New Year's resolutions like "hitting the gym." We do too. Only, the gym that we plan to hit is meant for Pokemon training. We can't buy Pokemon Black and Pokemon White until March 6, but, thankfully, Nintendo and GameStop informed us that they're helping everyone out with their two-month "wait" training.
From, today, January 3, to February 6, gamers will be able to unlock the Legendary Trio Pokemon - Raikou, Entei and Suicune - by going into any GameStop in the U.S. or Canada. The distribution dates are as follows:
Shiny Raikou: January 3 - January 9
Shiny Entei: January 17 - January 23
Shiny Suicune: January 31 - February 6
Acquiring these shiny Pokemon requires a Nintnedo DS and an English-language copy of Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold or SoulSilver Version. The Pokedex also has to be obtained by this point along with no more than two Wonder Cards.
The best part is that when the transferring of any one of these special Pokemon is said and done, players have the ability to capture the elusive Illusion Fox Pokemon Zoroark. This dark Pokemon type isn't obtainable through normal gameplay means and is the star of the upcoming Pokemon movie, Pokщmon-Zoroark: Master of Illusions, which set to premier on Cartoon Network on February 5.
With the impending release of two new versions of the complex Pocket Monsters series, it feels like the right time to update our in-depth Pokemon history article. Stay tuned.
