News: Korean technology company files a complaint over decides that include Blu-Ray Disc players, PlayStation 3 named specifically.
It's a knock-down-drag-out fight between technology giants Sony and LG, as LG fires back in its ongoing patent-related dispute with Sony.
Last December, Sony filed a complaint against LG regarding the use of Sony-developed technology in LG's smartphones. In response LG's launched their counter-attack by filing a similar complaint against Sony with the US International Trade Commission.
The US International Trade Commission has the power to block imports of products that violate US patents, a move that could keep PS3s from making their way to US shores if LG's complaint is validated. The complaint applies to numerous devices, including Bravia TVs and the PlayStation 3.
With the future of PS3 imports on the line, it might be the right time to get one before they potentially become scarce.
