News: The DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops is set to hit PS3 a little over a month after it released for Xbox 360. PC date is sometime in March.
PS3 owners have to wait until Microsoft's timed exclusive runs out before enjoying the Call of Duty: Black Ops - First Strike maps that Xbox 360 gamers have been entertaining with since February 1. While for wait for this $15 DLC isn't over just yet, the end is in sight.
March 3, 2011 makes the wait time a total of one month and two days for PS3 gamers over their Xbox 360 counterparts. It could be worse, though. You could own a PC copy of Black Ops. Activision's financial results for the calendar year also promised that the First Strike DLC is on its way for the PC, but not until an unspecified date at the end of the third quarter. That's still in the March ballpark, but knowing is half the battle and PC gamers are being left in the dark for the time being.
We'll remind you as soon as the PS3 DLC drops with its five maps: Berlin Wall, Discovery, Kowloonand, Stadium and new zombie level Ascension. And, whenever poor PC owners get a release date for First Strike release, we'll announce that here, too.
