News: No, it doesn't contain any nudity. Sorry, Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers. But there's a fascinating mystery and appropriate mystery-themed music.
Still deciding which LA Noire pre-order bonus you want when the game releases on May 17? Rockstar Games is making the decision a little easier (or harder if you were leaning toward a different retailer) by giving you a video preview of one of the two GameStop pre-order bonus missions.
This short 49 second trailer for "The Naked City" mission doesn't contain any nudity. However, it's full of suspenseful-sounding music, an intriguing mystery and more of those surreal-looking facial animations. The song that plays over top of the video sounds like the opening track from John Williams' Academy Award- and Golden Globe-nominated "Catch Me If You Can" soundtrack. That 2002 movie fits into the game's 1940s and 1950s, give or take a couple of years.
The case seems to revolve around a Hollywood-wannabe and fashion model (or, our guess, "model") who winds up dead. Although initial signs point to it being by her own hand, detective Cole Phelps finds out otherwise when he investigates this supposed suicide.
The LA Noire release date is still 11 weeks away, so here's to hoping that Rockstar Games details all of the bonus missions to wet our appetite and help us lock down the best pre-order bonuses.
