E3 2011 News: Konami already had its E3 2011 press conference last week, so we can tell you for sure about many Silent Hills, MGS and a game called NeverDead.
Silent Hill: Downpour, NeverDead and Zone of Enders HD Collection trailers videos are below
Konami has had a pre-E3 show and pretty much revealed most of what it will be showing at E3 2011. Unlike most other major developers, Konami was happy to reveal its current crop of titles early.
Unsurprisingly, there is a new Silent Hill game on the way, entitled Silent Hill: Downpour. In addition, there will be a new entry in the series for the new Sony PlayStation Vista handheld, called Silent Hill: Book of Memories. If two Silent Hill games weren't enough, then the best news of the bunch for fans of Konami's horror series will be relishing at the thought of Silent Hill HD Collection, which re-issues Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 in updated graphics upscaled to 1080i with bonus material.
Konami will also be showing us more of what to expect from their bizarre new title developed by Rebellion Studios, NeverDead. With an Уimmortal characterФ as the protagonist, this Xbox 360 and PS3 game is especially unique. While we're just learning about the details of this title, it won't be long until we get the final product. The NeverDead release date is Q3 2011.
And of course, it wouldn't be E3 and Konami without some kind of Metal Gear Solid announcement, and this year, the news is that we will be treated to another Collection title. This time. it's Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. The game will featur a port of Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, previously only available on PSP, Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3. Why not Metal Gear Solid 1? I guess we'll probably find out why sometime in the near future. Also expected at E3 is a playable demo of Metal Gear Solid Rising, which is a return to controlling RaidenЕ Yes. Raiden.
My favorite piece of news from Konami at E3 is that it is releasing a THIRD HD Collection game this year: Zone of Enders HD Collection, which will give people who never heard of it before a chance to catch up before Konami announces Zone of Enders 3 All of the above mentioned games are due on both PS3 and Xbox 360 and Metal Gear Solid Rising is also expected for PC.
