E3 2011 News: What is the Assassin's Creed Revelations story? We get the first news from Ubisoft at E3 2011, where the company had the reveal trailer on hand.
Assassin's Creed: Revelations E3 2011 trailer video is below
When Assassin's Creed: Revelations closed the show at impressive Ubisoft's E3 2011 Press Conference, more details about the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC game's story emerged. Ezio Auditore di Firenze is about to bow out as the lead character of this most auspicious franchise. His story has been confirmed as a finite trilogy and only one part of an ongoing Assassin's Creed saga. Ubisoft showed an extremely impressive cinematic video of the game that hints at a final showdown with the Templars in Constantinople. Ezio retains the skills that have made him an unforgettable character in videogames history and adds a few new abilities to his arsenal.
The gameplay demonstration that was played live to the show audience featured the familiar Assassin's Creed combat with a few lavish animation differences but the same core mechanics. It was later in the demo when Ezio got his hands on a cannon-sized flamethrower that we realized that the scale of the battles in Assassin's Creed: Revelations was a step up on the already-epic Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Ezio razed a fleet of galleons with his cannon from hell in moments and wandered off to look for another target as the impressive demo came to an end.
The Assassin's Creed: Revelations release date is November 15, 2011, which means it'll compete for your Holiday season cash against heavyweights like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and the just-announced Halo remake. We suggest you start saving now. Revelations is one of a host of exciting titles announced by Ubisoft in a unanimously agreed strong showing at E3 2011. It was only outdone by Far Cry 3, our top choice among the Ubisoft 2011-2012 lineup.
