E3 2011 News: Turn 10 Studios showed of Forza 4 using Xbox 360 Kinect to tour cars at E3 2010. At E3 2011, the developer is back to show off motion racing gameplay.
Forza Motorsport 4, the sequel to Forza 3, aka one of the greatest simulation racing game of all time, was on hand at Microsoft's E3 2011 Press Conference. When the Forza 4 release date October 11 release date rolls around, it'll be in your hands thanks to a host of Kinect features.
Turn 10 Studios, the developer behind the series, confirmed many details that were mere conjecture before the event. The game is being described as "better with Kinect" and is the first game that uses both the Xbox 360 controller and Kinect in unison. Players will be able to turn the car and accelerate and brake in any combination of options with the Kinect sensor and the buttons and sticks on the controller.
Top Gear, perhaps the BBC's biggest worldwide TV export, is heavily tied to Forza 4, with host Jeremy Clarkson narrating various sections of the showroom and game menu screens. Forza 4 promises to stick to the formula that made Forza 3 such a smash hit and that is realistic driving mechanics and ultra realistic graphics on Xbox 360.
The one thing that everyone wants that has yet to make an appearance in a Forza game is legendary Belgian race track, Spa-Francorchamps. Turn 10 has been very secretive about the tracks and cars available in Forza Motorsport 4, so we will have to wait a little longer to find out what's in store for us. While the game has a release date of October 11th in North America, the Forza 4 release date in Europe is October 14, where I will be waiting impatiently to dust off my wireless steering wheel and put on my crash helmet for another high speed adrenaline rush. Gamers in Japan have to wait until October 20 for their Forza 4 fix.
