Madden NFL 12 News: To avoid five-minute quarters and a pre-free agent roster update, EA Sports Season Ticket grants you access to the full game.
A demo of Madden NFL 12 is now available to PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers, giving football fans a second month in a row to celebrate following July's end to the NFL lockout. Available via PSN and Xbox Live a month ahead of the retail release date of Madden NFL 12, this demo allows players relive the 2011 NFC Championship match-up between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. It comes with four difficulty levels, the option of using Conventional or GameFlow playcalling and the debut of Dynamic Player Performance. The new DDP feature replicates player traits and tendencies, as they rise and fall, based on their on-field performance during a game.
However, the Madden NFL 12 demo is limited to five-minute quarters and rosters updates prior to the free agency period. To get full access to the game's features before the retail release date, players can buy into the EA Sports Season Ticket. This $24.99 annual fee entitles sports gamers to three days of the complete game via a digital download. Of course, once Madden NFL 12 comes out in stores, the download will cease to exist on your hard drive, making it one of the more brief perks of the yearly subscription. The other benefit is that EA Sports Season Ticket УholdersФ get a 20% on a majority of the DLC from EA Sports titles.
We'll have to see how fee-based EA Sports Season Ticket model works out on August 26 at 6 p.m. PT, a few hours more than the three-day release date wait for Madden NFL 12. Until then, the Madden NFL 12 demo, free as always, will suit us just fine, thanks.
