Xbox 360, PC, PS3 News: This DLC-included version of also expands the Fallout: New Vegas level cap to 50.
Fallout: New Vegas may have had too many game-saving bugs, freezing issues and other annoying glitches to warrant a Game of the Year edition. However, Bethesda Softworks is still giving its 2010 open-world title GotY-style treatment with a DLC-infused re-release on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. So if you haven't bought the game and all of the DLC just yet, you may want to hold on to your Microsoft Points and PlayStation Network credits. This new version of the game is bound to be cheaper in the long run.
Dubbed
Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition, it's been given a release date of February 7 here in North America and a release date of February 10 in Europe. It includes all of the DLC released so far for Fallout: New Vegas - Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, Lonesome Road, Courier's Stash and Gun Runners' Arsenal. In addition to the six DLC packs, the level cap has been raised to 50.
There's nothing brand new about this DLC other than it being bundled in disc form. But if you haven't experienced Obsidian Entertainment's take on the world of Fallout, this is the new New Vegas that you should buy. Of course, our time and money (and time, can't stress that enough) is being used up for Bethesda's other epic,
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Maybe, just maybe we'll be finished exploring Skyrim by Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition's February 7 release date.
