Looking for some fresh FPS action? The new demo for EA's Syndicate could be your quick fix. The sci-fi shooter put out a cooperative multiplayer demo today, which lets would-be operatives test drive some corporate warfare before Syndicate officially opens for business February 21.
Just because these warriors are die-hard capitalists doesn't they're complete loners. Syndicate is a squad based shooter, and this demo will have teams of four working together to take on enemy corporate interests. Using your cybernetic enhancements to the group's advantage is the name of game. According to the developer's post on the official PlayStation blog, Уyour DART chip allows you to heal (breach) your team member. If healing comes too late, you can also reboot them if they go down. This was really our core mechanic for the co-op game and it helped us create a game that firmly centers on team play.Ф
As a member of a Wulf Western hit squad, your job is to fleece Cayman Global for all they're worth. This rival Syndicate has been soaking up market share, and your job is to squeeze it out of them, by breaking into its compound, assassinating its leader, and stealing as many top secret blue prints as you can get your mercenary hands on.
You may not know it, but this upcoming shooter is not the first Syndicate game. It's actually based on a series of top-down strategy games from the 90s. Whether you've played those games or not, check out the demo, watch the video below, and tell us what you think this new Syndicate on Facebook and Twitter.
